<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric wheel drive device capable of preventing leakage of lubricant sealed in between an internal space of a friction roller type transmission as well as degradation of durability of the transmission due to wrong lubrication. <P>SOLUTION: This electric wheel drive device is provided with an electric motor 5 and the friction roller type transmission 6 assembled on the internal diameter side of the wheel body 1 of the wheel 3.
