PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording medium having excellent long-term shelf properties, electromagnetic transducing characteristics, and running durability. SOLUTION: The magnetic recording medium including, on a non-magnetic support, radiation cured layer formed by curing a layer containing a radiation curable compound by irradiation with a radiation and at least one magnetic layer formed by dispersing ferromagnetic powder in a binder is characterized in that the radiation curable compound contains a urethane (met)acrylate obtained from a compound having two or more cyclohexane rings in its molecule.
