PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce noise that occurs in operation of a paper sheets processing apparatus, to prevent dust from flying in all directions and to improve the usability of the apparatus. SOLUTION: The paper sheets processing apparatus is provided with a capturing part 2 for capturing paper money P, a transport means for transporting the paper money P captured by the capturing part 2, an identifying means for identifying the paper money P transported by the transport means, a plurality of ejecting means 3a and 3b for classifying and accumulating the paper money on the basis of identification results of the identifying means, and a cover 51 for covering the plurality of ejecting parts 3a and 3b, wherein the cover 51 has a plurality of opening/closing parts 54a to 54c for opening and closing the ejecting parts 3a and 3b and can open one of the plurality of opening/closing parts 54a to 54c when needed.
