PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which can switch imaging conditions. SOLUTION: Between an emission face 63 and an imaging element 22 of a prism optical system 21, an optical member 80 is arranged so as to be able to enter and leave. A driving mechanism 81 can move the optical member 80 between an insertion position facing the imaging element 22 and a retracting position facing no imaging element 22. An example of the optical member 80 is optical sheet glass with refractive index of≥1. When the optical member 80 is inserted between the imaging element 22 and the emission face 63, a focal point of the prism optical system 21 is formed at a position suitable for 1st photographing condition. When the optical member 80 is retracted from between the imaging element 22 and the emission face 63, the focal point of the prism optical system 21 is moved to a position suitable for 2nd photographing condition.
