PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a tail sealed structure of a shield machine, which ensures the fall and rise of a wire brush seal, which prevents the outflow of a sealant infilled into a space between the pair of wire brush seals and which prevents a back-filling material from being sucked into the space, and the shield machine. SOLUTION: The wire brush seal 12a, which can freely slide on the outer surface of a segment tubular body 7, is annularly installed on the inner surface of a tail plate 9; a urethane foam 11 is infilled between a side surface on the side of the back end of the seal 12a and an inner surface 9a of the back end of the tail plate 9; and urethane foams 21 and 22 are each infilled among the wire brush seals 12a, 12b and 12c. Additionally, the urethane foams 11, 21 and 22 are provided with foamed material supply paths 32a, 32b and 32c for supplying the urethane foam.
