PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stably maintaining viscosity of a composition applicable to mucosa, containing hyaluronic acid or its salt, and to provide a composition stably maintained. SOLUTION: The composition containing hyaluronic acid or its salt and a nonionic surfactant is suppressed in viscosity decrease and stably maintains viscosity for a long time by compounding a vegetable oil selected from castor oil, sesame oil, olive oil, soybean oil, peanut oil, almond oil, wheat germ oil, camellia oil, corn oil, rapeseed oil, sunflower oil, cottonseed oil and coconut oil.
