PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide strontium hydroxide originated from a celestite ore containing particularly a small amount of barium compounds. SOLUTION: This strontium hydroxide originated from a celestite ore contains a calcium compound in an amount of≤0.001 mass% in terms of calcium, a barium compound in an amount of≤0.01 mass% in terms of barium and a sulfur compound in an amount of≤0.001 mass% in terms of sulfur.
