An aminocarbonyl naphthol derivative represented by the formula (1) below and a method for producing the same. (1) (In the formula (1), Y1and Y2 represent a group selected from the group consisting of aminocarbonyl groups, carboxyl groups and groups represented by the formulae (2), (3) and (4) below; and at least one of Y1 and Y2 is an aminocarbonyl group.) -(CONH)n-X1 (2) -CO-O-X2 (3) (4) Also disclosed are a novel cyanonaphthol derivative represented by the formula (7) below, salts thereof and a method for producing those. (7) (In the formula (7), Y7 and Y 8independently represent a group selected from the group consisting of cyano groups, groups represented by the formulae (2), (3) and (4) above, carboxyl groups, and aminocarbonyl groups; and at least one of Y7 and Y8 is a cyano group.)
