PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tension member for an optical fiber cable, improved in a bending performance, while maintaining tensile strength. SOLUTION: A fiber-reinforced resin linear product contains an inorganic fiber, an organic fiber, and a matrix resin interposed between the fibers. The organic fiber may be arranged around the inorganic fiber. A method for producing the fiber-reinforced resin linear product comprises impregnating the inorganic fiber and the organic fiber with a heat-curable resin which is uncured, and then curing the resin.
