PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet system image forming apparatus which can suppress settling of a pigment by a simple constitution. SOLUTION: In an ink circulation mode, a first opening and closing valve 208 and a fourth opening and closing valve 216 are turned in a close state, and at the same time a second opening and closing valve 210 and a third opening and closing valve 212 are brought in an open state. Ink in a main tank 200 is brought back again through a suction pump 206 to the main tank 200 by driving the suction pump 206 in this state. As indicated by arrows in the drawing, the ink is circulated flowing in the order of the main tank 200, a filter 214, the third opening and closing valve 212, a first ink feeding passage 301, the suction pump 206, a branching point 310, the second opening and closing valve 210, an ink circulation passage 400 and the main tank 200.
