DATA SEPARATION APPARATUS, STREAM REPRODUCING APPARATUS, AND DATA SEPARATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data separation method whereby data separation of input data configured with a group of data having a fixed data length is processed at a high speed without the need for using complicated address control. SOLUTION: A data separation apparatus uses a pack header analysis buffer 611 provided with a buffer head 611a and a buffer tail 611b which are buffer areas of the same capacity, reads required packets and data of a system header from one buffer area in response to an analysis result of a pack stored in the one buffer area, writes a succeeding pack from a buffer 5 to the other buffer area, and allows DMA controllers between the buffers 5 and 611 and between the buffer 611 and a buffer 612 to respectively perform DMA transfer by respectively designating a transfer destination address and a transfer source address in a way of alternately transferring the packs from the buffer 5 to each buffer area.
