PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently ensure moving amount of a headrest, to prevent the breakage of a seating posture when detecting rear collision, and to adjust elastic force (force pressing forward) of a backrest seat according to a physique and preferences of a seating person. SOLUTION: A rear collision sensing element 25 forwardly moving the headrest at the time of rear collision is provided in the backrest seat. To a backrest frame on a front side of the rear collision sensing element, a plate element 31 of a rectangular one plate shape for supporting cushion material is attached through a wire spring so as to move in a fore-and-aft direction. The plate element is formed to be divided into an upper side plate element 31A and a lower side plate element 31B. A plurality of projecting portions 41A, 41B and a fitting grooves is formed on the upper side plate element and the lower side plate element. The projecting portions and the fitting grooves are engaged with each other to form an adjusting portion 48 elastically deforming. An elastic force adjusting mechanism 40 capable of adjusting supporting elastic force of a body of the seating person by the adjusting portion is structured. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
