PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety device for a wheel stopper capable of preventing the work in such a state that wheels are not fixed by wheel stoppers. SOLUTION: In the safety device 20 for the wheel stopper provided in a vehicle body 2 of a high position working vehicle 1 traveling by driving front and rear wheels 3a, 3b, and which consists of a wheel stopper retraction section 11 for retracting the stoppers 10 for fixing the rear wheel 3b in parking of the high position working vehicle 1, right and left retraction state detection sections 22, 23 for detecting whether the wheel stoppers 10 are retracted in the retraction section 11 for the wheel stopper or not, a jack operating device 9 for operating an outrigger jack 8, and a jack control section 21 for controlling the operation of the outrigger jack 8 by the jack operating device 9, when it is determined that the wheel stoppers 10 are retracted in the wheel stopper retraction portion 11 by the right and left storage state detection sections 22, 23, the jack control section 21 regulates the operation of the outrigger jack 8 by the jack operating device 9.
