DISPLAYING VIEW PORTS WITHIN A LARGE DESKTOP AREA

A method is disclosed for providing spatial information relating to a relative position of two view ports (32; 41; 51 a) and (34; 43; 51b; 51c; 51d) within a large desktop area (30; 40). In large desktop area applications, only a portion of the desktop is visible. When multiple view ports of different areas of the desktop are displayed simultaneously, a visual indication of distance and/or direction between view ports is presented. A system is also disclosed.
