The method involves the first camera (11) which is carried by the test person (6). The first camera captures the line of vision of the test person and is connected to the second camera (2) with a known position as well as third camera (3) with a known position. The position of the second camera, third camera, first marking (20) and second marking (21) are different. The position of the first camera is dependent upon the known position of the second camera and third camera as well as the position of first and second markings. An independent claim is also included for the device for the determination of position of the motor vehicle.
