<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording medium which is improved in cross erasure and to provide a reproducing apparatus and a recording apparatus for the information recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: The information recording medium comprises at least a substrate 13 having a microscopic pattern 20, which is constituted of a continuous substance of approximately parallel grooves formed with a groove G and a land L alternately, a recording layer 12 formed on the microscopic pattern 20 and a light transmission layer 11 formed on the recording layer 12, the microscopic pattern 20 is formed so as to satisfy a relation of P< λ/NA and the thickness of the light transmission layer 11 is within a range of 0.07 to 0.12 mm, wherein P is a pitch of the groove G or the land L, λ is a wavelength of a reproducing light beam and NA is a numerical aperture of an objective lens, λ is in a range of 350 to 450 nm, NA is in a range of 0.75 to 0.9, and recording based on at least one of a reflectance difference having ≥5% reflectance or a phase difference to either the groove G or the land L is performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
