PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently supply a liquid developer to a developer bearing member. SOLUTION: A liquid developing device is provided which includes: a developer housing section for housing a liquid developer comprising a carrier liquid and toner particles dispersed in the carrier liquid; a developer bearing member for bearing the liquid developer; and a developer supply roller which comprises a cylindrical substrate and a wire so spirally wound around the cylindrical substrate that adjacent parts of the wire come in contact with each other and a gap through which the carrier liquid is passed is formed between adjacent parts of the wire, and which is used for supplying the liquid developer housed in the developer housing section to the developer bearing member.
