PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create not only details of content but the optimum atmosphere and the presence meeting the feeling and others of a user. SOLUTION: The main content detail metadata multiplexed to main content data is decoded by a metadata decoder 18 and the main content detail metadata is generated in a main content detail metadata generation section 43. User circumstances metadata is generated in a user circumstances metadata generation section 41. Recommendation information which recommends the sub-content to be combined with the main content is generated from the main content detail metadata and the user circumstances metadata in a recommendation information generation section 42. The feature information indicating the features of the sub-content is generated from the sub-content detail metadata in a feature information generation section 45. Sub-content most approximate in the feature information to the recommendation information is selected as the sub-content to be combined with the main content in a sub-content selection section 46.
