PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of manufacturing a deeply desulfurized kerosene having a less sulfur content with keeping or improving the metal corrosiveness and bad smell of conventional product kerosene. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a kerosene with a sulfur concentration of 10 ppm by mass or less comprises a hydrogenation treatment of a kerosene fraction as a raw oil under the condition, in the presence of a catalyst, of a hydrogen partial pressure of 2-8 MPa, a reaction temperature of 250-350°C, a liquid hourly space velocity of 0.3-12 hr<SP>-1</SP>, a hydrogen/oil ratio of 30-600 Nm<SP>3</SP>/kL and a hydrogen sulfide concentration in a hydrogen-containing gas of 1.4% by volume or less.
