PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology precisely coping with reverse rotation as well as normal rotation for a fastening tool including a clutch for transmitting the rotational output of a driving motor to a tool bit to be freely released. SOLUTION: This fastening tool includes: a body part; a driving motor; a drive side clutch body 133; an auxiliary clutch body 135; a driven shaft 117; and a tool bit 119. When the driving motor is rotated in normal direction, the driven side clutch body is moved in the axial direction through the pressing force of a worker to the body part to engage with the driven side clutch body, thereby transmitting the turning force in the direction of normal rotation to the tool bit. On the other hand, when the driving motor is rotated in the reverse direction, the drive side clutch body and the auxiliary clutch body are relatively moved in the axial direction on the basis of the turning force of the drive side clutch body, thereby engaging the drive side clutch body or the auxiliary clutch body with the driven side clutch body so that the turning force in the reverse direction of the driving motor is transmitted to the tool bit.
