PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutter having high cutting dimensional accuracy and high cutting quality. SOLUTION: This cutter, as shown in Fig. 3, includes: an extruder 10 for extruding raw material 70 as a cutting object; an ultrasonic cutting device 30; a sensor 60 for detecting the longitudinal position of the cutting object; and a control device 50. The control device 50, when the sensor 60 detects the end of the raw material 70 to be cut, moves ultrasonic cutters 32a, 32b mounted and rotated on an ultrasonic cutter supporting rotary part 34, in which the extrusion speed of the raw material 70 is calculated to the cutting position of the raw material as a cutting object in synchronization with the calculated extrusion speed, approaches the same to the axial cutting position of the raw material as a cutting object, and energizes the ultrasonic cutters to output an ultrasonic wave, thereby cutting the cutting object.
