PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily switch the normal rotation and reverse rotation of a PTO (power take off) shaft and an input shaft. SOLUTION: An arbitrary implement C is connected to the back of a self-propelled traveling part B, and a transmission mechanism is inserted between the PTO shaft 15 of the traveling part B and the input shaft 41 of the implement C. In the sulky working machine having the above construction, the transmission mechanism has three or more continuously intermeshing transmission gears 60, 61, 62 and the PTO shaft 15 and a transmission shaft 56 are detachably connectable to different transmission gears 60, 61(62). In the case of rotating the PTO shaft 15 and the input shaft 41 in the same direction, for example, the PTO shaft 15 is connected to the 1st transmission gear 60, the transmission shaft 56 is connected to the 3rd transmission gear 62 and the 2nd transmission gear 61 is used as a counter gear to rotate the PTO shaft 15 and the input shaft 41 in the same directions.
