<p>An aggregate of magnetic alloy particles comprising, providing that T refers to one or both of Fe and Co while M refers to one or both of Pt and Pd, T and M in a composition ratio of the formula: TxM1-x wherein x is in the range of 0.3 to 0.7 and further comprising metal elements other than T and M in an atomic percentage of 30 at.% or less (including 0 at.%) based on the amount (T + M) together with the balance of impurities unavoidable in production, characterized in that the ratio of face centered tetragonal crystal therein is in the range of 10 to 100%, the average particle diameter (DTEM) measured by TEM observation in the range of 5 to 30 nm, and the X-ray crystal grain diameter (Dx) derived from X-ray diffractometry 4 nm or greater, and that the particles exhibit fluidity in the state of being dispersed with spacing therebetween, the particles having respective compositions whose dispersion falls within a specified range. The aggregate of magnetic alloy particles is suitable for magnetic recording.</p> |
