PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely detect the propriety as to intrusion of an object within a detection objective area, by integrating an output result from an object shape restoration means, and an output result from an object area extraction means. SOLUTION: This object detector of the present invention is constituted of the object shape restoration means for restoring a three-dimensional shape of the object, based on a view volume crossing method, from a plurality of images photographed by a plurality of cameras, the object area extraction means for conducting plane modification for correlating a detection objective area plane between the two images to extract an object area having a height, an integration detecting part for integrating the output results from the two image processing means to detect the object, and a control alarm. Advantages of the both means are used in the best, and disadvantages are covered each other, by judging integrally the output results from the object shape restoration means and the object area extraction means, and the object is detected surely without being affected by an outdoor meteorological condition and sunshine condition.
