PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input pen whose whole length is shortened to be stored in an storage chamber 12A only by being pushed into the storage chamber 12A of a portable information terminal 12 or the like while being elongated; whose whole length is elongated to protrude a push bar 6 from the storage chamber 12A by knocking the push bar 6 of the input pen stored in a contracted state; and which can be easily taken out from the storage chamber 12A by holding the protruding push bar 6 with a thum and finger. SOLUTION: A plurality of concave grooves 3D extending backward in a longitudinal direction and a plurality of locking parts positioned in front of rear edges of the concave grooves 3D in a longitudinal direction alternately are formed in a rear shaft 3. When the push bar 6 is positioned at a most advanced position, a cam pawl 7A of a cam member 7 is locked in the locking part of the rear shaft 3.
