<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve easiness in delivering paper sheets without drawing a printer forwards, supporting an image scanner high or disposing it backwards. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprises: a printer U2 with an emergent tray TRh formed on its upper surface; a control panel PA provided in the upper part of a front face while protruding forwards; an image scanner U3 provided in the central part and the rear part in the longitudinal direction of a lower surface and including a downward protruding part 16 protruding downwards rather than a lower surface front part 17; and a rack U1 with the printer U2 linked to its lower portion and including a top plate U1a for supporting the image scanner U3 above the emergent tray TRh on the upper surface of the printer U2. In the top plate U1a, a front-side lower surface front part supporting portion 2 supporting the lower surface front part 17 is formed higher than a downward protruding part supporting portion 1 for supporting the downward protruding part 16 at the rear side thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
