<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device of an IH system which has a means for avoiding causing a paper non-passage section to rise in temperature due to the size of a recording material being passed along a heat roller. <P>SOLUTION: The image heating apparatus includes the fixing device of the induction heat system, and a shielding means for shielding from a magnetic flux, wherein in the case that a shielding plate gets stuck, print processing is performed by an alarm, and when the temperatures of the ends of the fixing device have become low during the print processing, the shielding means displays an error. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
