<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for a vehicle capable of protecting controllers by suppressing an abrupt change of a motor operation state occurring owing to the coincidence of the connection or disconnection timing of a clutch or the switching timing of a transmission ratio with the switching timing of a control mode of a motor. <P>SOLUTION: The controller for the vehicle comprises a motor generator, a motor generator controller, driving wheels, a 2nd clutch between the motor generator and driving wheels, and a 2nd clutch controller. The motor generator controller switches control modes not in timing to the connection or disconnection of the 2nd clutch. Consequently, an operation point where the operation state of the motor generator is abruptly changed is avoided to protect the motor generator controller against an excessive current and voltage, thereby protecting the controller for the vehicle as a result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
