<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide application proxy services for customers that an application for a manufacturer's prize competition is made on behalf of the customer. <P>SOLUTION: The number of application points and information on an application address are stored according to prize competition projects. Personal information necessary for the application for the prize competition is stored by every customer. The acquired accumulated points according to prize competition projects is stored by every customer. A commodity for which the prize competition project has been set is retrieved from among the commodities the customer has purchased, the points to be added to the purchase of the commodity are acquired, and they are added to the acquired accumulated points for the prize competition project of the customer. It is decided whether or not the accumulated points has reached the application points necessary for the prize competition project.
