PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide light-weight wadding which is full of texture close to feathers, is excellent in a heat insulation property, is easy to be along the body, is excellent in bulkiness, has the high recovery rate of the bulkiness after compression, and is suitably used for bedding, clothing and sanitary base materials. SOLUTION: The wadding is composed by mixing thin and short fibers A whose fiber fineness is 0.05-1.5 dtex at a weight ratio of 20-80% and hollow, thick and short fibers B whose fiber fineness is 3.0-10.0 dtex at a weight ratio of 20-80%, and an oil solution containing polysiloxane is imparted to at least one kind of the fibers at a weight ratio of 0.05-5%.
