PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide variable optical coupling preventive transmission equipment for preventing variable optical coupling caused by shake of an optical connector. SOLUTION: The transmission equipment has: a cage 3 for holding an optical transceiver 2 into which an optical connector 1 is inserted, in a housing 4: and has a window 6 for putting the optical transceiver 2 in and out of the cage 3 in the wall 5 of the housing 4, wherein a connector protecting member 8 is installed in the housing 4 in a manner projecting outward at least beyond the base end 7 of the optical connector 1.
