PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phase difference detection device capable of reducing jitter components generated on the inside of a circuit. SOLUTION: This phase difference detection device detecting the phase difference between a first input signal and a second input signal has: a first divider, generating a first divided signal obtained by dividing the first input signal into two in frequency, such that all the rising edges of the first input signal correspond to one of a rising edge or a falling edge of the first divided signal; a second divider generating a second divided signal, obtained by dividing the second input signal into two in frequencies, such that the first divided signal and the edge correspond to each other; a first phase detector detecting the phase difference between the rising edge in the first divided signal and the edge, corresponding to the rising edge in the second divided signal; and a second phase detector, detecting the phase difference between the falling edge in the the first divided signal and the edge corresponding to the falling edge in the second divided signal.
