PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein deviated load is applied to a case member of a ceiling installation type storage device and to retain design property by preventing deformation of the case member by unbalanced load. SOLUTION: The ceiling installation type storage device for the vehicle is provided with a first elastic body for always urging the case member assembled to a housing member openably/closably around a predetermined turning axis to an opening direction; a lock mechanism for locking the case member at a closed position and enabling lock release by pressing-in the case member from the closed position; and a second elastic body for giving urging force in a direction opposite to the pressing-in operation force for lock release relative to the case member at the closed position. The first elastic body 24 is arranged at one end side of the turning axis (axis of shaft parts 22, 23), i.e., fulcrum when the case member 20 is opened/closed relative to the housing member 10. The second elastic body 40 is arranged at a position where it gives urging force to the case member 20 at an opposite side of the first elastic body 24 making the lock mechanism 30 as a border.
