PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trimmer blade and a trimming method for a steel plate, improving the quality of a steel plate edge after shearing and lengthen the life of the trimmer blade in manufacturing the steel plate. SOLUTION: A surface roughness Ra of the side in a shearing corner part of a trimmer blade of a side trimmer device for shearing the edge of of the steel plate is set equal to or less than 0.2μm.
