In a plug connector having resilient contact strips 29 located in grooves in a forwardlyprojecting part 3 which is housed in a part 7 of an insulating body 1, the forward end 31 of each contact is urged against the floor of its groove by bending central parts 33 of the contacts so that lugs 35 latch behind shoulders 25 at the rear of the part 3 and the contacts bear against walls 21 of channels in the part 7. The contacts terminate in solder tags 36 and their withdrawal from the rear end of the body is resisted by engagement of stops 37 with shoulders in the body. Flanges such as 20 on the body 1 may be secured to a chassis (not shown).
