<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maximize the utilization of a battery in a printing apparatus having a storage comprising a storing medium, its controlling circuit and so on, and utilizing the battery in common to a printing part taking charge of a printing function as a driving power source. <P>SOLUTION: A battery controlling part 232 of the printing apparatus 2 checks the residual quantity of the battery 231, and judges how the storage part and the printing part are utilized by referring to the data stored in an ROM 233, and informs it to a controlling apparatus (e.g., a digital camera 1). It becomes possible to maximize the utilization of the battery, while a processing indicated regardless of the residual quantity of the battery is prevented from being interrupted, for example, by changing the processing which can be indicated to the printing apparatus 2 from the digital camera 1 depending on the content of the indication. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
