<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conductive polymer composite which can surely protect an electrical device from oxygen under various environmental conditions, a method of manufacturing the composition, and the electrical device that includes the composition. <P>SOLUTION: The electrical device comprises two electrodes 7 and 9 and a conductive polymer layer 5, which is interposed between the electrodes and contains a mixture of a polymer and a conductive filler. An oxygen barrier material, containing a thermosetting polymer component, exists on the exposed surfaces of the conductive polymer layer, where the exposed surfaces are not in contact with the laminar electrodes. The oxygen barrier material may be a polyamine-polyepoxide material. The oxygen barrier material makes it possible to provide permissible barrier characteristics over wide range of humidity levels. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
