<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve conventional color correction in digital film production. <P>SOLUTION: The device for color correction of an input image comprises: a means for analyzing the colors of an input image in order to obtain a color parametric representation of the input image; a means for selecting a set of reference images; a means for analyzing the colors of at least one of the reference images or one region of the reference images in order to obtain a color parametric representation of the reference image; a means for calculating a set of possible transformations on the color of the input image such that the color parametric representation of said input image is close to the colors parametric representation of the reference image according to a distance criterion; a means for selecting, among the possible transformations, a subset of transformations outputting a physically possible color corrected input image when the transformation is applied to the input image, from the possible transformations; and a means for interactively selecting visually one transformation out of the subset. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
