PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum electrolytic capacitor where the occurrence of electrical contact (short circuiting) between a capacitor element and a bottom in a metal case can be prevented. SOLUTION: In the aluminum electrolytic capacitor, a lead tab is fixed to anode foil and cathode foil, where chemical conversion coating is formed, the electrolyte is impregnated in the capacitor element wound through a separator, and the element is stored in the metal case and is sealed by an elastic sealing body. An insulator formed of rubber materials of an EPT system and/or an IIR system is arranged between the capacitor element and a bottom face in the metal case. The insulator is disposed, in such a way that it is brought into contact with at least a part of the inner bottom and/or the inner face of the metal case. The shape of the insulator is a cylindrical, circular, elliptical, drum shape, triangular, rectangular, polygonal or higher or a cloud shape. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
