PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel capable of reducing the luminance difference thereof. SOLUTION: This plasma display panel reduces the luminance differences over the area of a panel. The plasma display panel is characterized by that the reduction in luminance difference is achieved by at least one of changing distances between corresponding scan electrodes or corresponding sustain electrodes of corresponding scan/sustain electrode pairs in different areas of the panel or varying a gap between the scan and sustain electrodes of the scan/sustain electrode pair.
