PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to retrieve a fixed phrase or sentence including a plurality of his desired words by performing a simple operation that does not take time. SOLUTION: The user uses an operating part 31 to direct designate a plurality of respective words in one sentence or more displayed on a display part 32 on a screen regardless of the continuous arrangement or discontinuous arrangement of the sentences. Then, a recognizing part 34 recognizes a plurality of words designated by the user on the basis of operation contents of the operating part 31 and notifies a retrieving part 35 of the recognition result. The retrieving part 35 retrieves a fixed phrase and an example including the plurality of notified words or text about them from a dictionary storing part 36 and supplies the fixed phase or the example or the text to a display control part 33. The display control part 33 displays the supplied fixed phrase and example or text about them on the display part 32.
