PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a stylus from being detached from a lens and falling during measurement of lens shape. SOLUTION: A lens holding unit 12 and a tracer mechanism part 13 are provided on a base plate 11a of a base 11. The whole lens holding unit 12 is fixed on the base plate 11a, and the already machined lens 14 is held by the lens holding unit 12. A stylus unit 30 on a stylus base 20 is installed with the stylus 31. The stylus 31 directs in the horizontal direction, i.e., in a Z-axis direction. The stylus unit 30 moves in the Z-axis direction and a Y-axis direction, so that the stylus 31 contacts with the periphery of the lens 14, and tracing is executed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
