PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fastener particularly for fastening a fastened member to a base material with axial force generated on a bolt while securing fastening force. SOLUTION: The fastener comprises a nut 5 on the outside face of which rails 14, 15 are provided with spiral portions and a knob 6 which is externally inserted into the nut 5 and in which rail guide grooves are provided for guiding the rails 14, 15. The nut 5 is split into two approximately semi-cylindrical nut pieces 7, 8 with an axial plane, the pair of nut pieces 7, 8 being connected at their upper ends to each other with a hinge portion. The bolt 3 is held between the pair of nut pieces 7, 8 of the nut 5 and the knob 6 is pushed into the nut 5 in such a state, whereby a screw portion of the nut 5 is threaded to the bolt 3. The spiral portions of the rails 14, 15 of the nut 5 is thrust by the rail guide grooves of the knob 6 to generate rotating force on the nut 5 in the fastening direction, whereby the bolt is fastened and the fastened member 4 is fastened to the base material 2.
