<p>The invention provides a method and system for coupling a first device to a second device having a module containing subscriber-related data therein, the data usable and accessible by a user of the first device. The activation of the usability and accessibility is tied to "on-demand" user interaction in the first device, including an initiation of a communications session, e.g. making a phone call or data connection, or opening a communicator, or sending an email. The activation includes the initiation of the phone call from a phonebook in the first device, an attachment by the user of a headset or a conference call stand, a physical opening by the user of the first device such as into a conference call mode, a request by the user for a cellular data connection, including starting an email application, launching a Web browser, or selecting "fetch messages" or "send now".</p> |
