The device has a case (20) provided with hollow housings, each equipped with a locking unit (22) that is partially deformable. The locking unit temporarily retains a main body (15) of each of male and female components (11, 12) of a hinge without interfering with a plate (14) of each of the components. The locking unit is deformed for releasing the bodies when the plates are guided along a guide provided with a groove.
