An implant (1) for fixing bones, which is made of a combination of metal and plastic. The implant comprises several passages (2) that have axes (3) and receive a bone-fixing means, especially a bone screw. The passages are provided with a peripheral border (4) made of a material that is different from the material of the implant, which surrounds the border. The structure creates an implant that is less stiff and does not pose any problems concerning the screw-implant interface.
