<p>A system and method processes a group call of a key telephone system. When a sender requests a call, a key telephone system transmits a message including a group call mask, which indicates a recognition number of the group corresponding to the call, to every Digital Enhanced Cordless Telephone (DECT) portable device of the group using a single downlink channel. A receiving DECT portable device desired by the sender then allocates an uplink channel and transmits an LCE page response message to the key telephone system through the allocated channel. Therefore, when a key telephone system DECT fixed equipment performs a group call, the number of channels for a simultaneous call does not restrict the number of the DECT portable devices ringing.</p> |
