ELECTROMAGNETIC DAMPER CONTROLLER

An electromagnetic damper controller for electromagnetic dampers in which a first member to which a magnet is attached and a second member to which a solenoid is attached are combined relatively rotatably, and an electromagnetic force induced in a solenoid by the relative rotational motion of the first and second members is used as a motion damping force. In the controller, a current limiting element operated by the voltage induced in the solenoid by the relative rotational motion of the first and second members is provided. The current limiting element controls the current flowing through the solenoid to a predetermined value depending on the voltage induced in the solenoid so as to control the damping force of the electromagnetic damper. Thus, an electromagnetic damper controller for exerting a desired damping formed on an electromagnetic damper without needing any external power supply is provided.
