An anchor means (1) having an anchor head H with flukes for engagement with the sea-bed, a shaft (2) extends outwardly from the head, and a warp connection means (10) for connection to a warp W. The warp connection means engages the shaft in two alternative modes. In the first mode the warp connection is retained in a restricted portion (5) of the shaft remote from the head. In the second mode the connection is longitudinally movable towards and away from the head via a guide passage (7). The restricted portion is formed by a projecting bar (8) and the warp connection means has a reduced dimension portion (12) so that the connection may be moved between the first mode which provides a relatively permanent mooring arrangement and the second mode which provides a trippable mooring arrangement. The warp connection means comprises a shackle and the reduced dimension portion comprises a depression on one or both sides of the shackle. (61) Addition to 230110
