The device has an air-conditioning unit (5) located in a total volume (Vc) of a premise, and a false ceiling (8) to provide an intermediate volume (Vi) between the ceiling and a ceiling (4). The unit has blowing orifices (10) to exhale treated air into the volume (Vi). A diffusing unit (11) is placed between the volume (Vi) and air-conditioned volume. A contour of the ceiling (8) follows an external contour (7) of the unit (5).
